Nice Sequel

This sequel was....interesting. It didn't seem as intense as the first book. I wish it had been. It seemed kind of repetitive. More than the first book. And there was only a few big fighting scenes. I don't know. I just wish there was more. There seemed to be more depth in the first book compared to this one.

I still enjoyed the sequel though. We got to see a little bit deeper side of the players because Sky Key ends up not being what they expected and puts their morals on the line. It challenges them differently than any of them expected. So that was kind of neat to see how each player reacts and deals with the situation. But more fighting or traveling or more interactions between players like the first book would have been nice, I think.

I still look forward to the next book to see how the rest unfolds. It should be interesting to see what happens and who wins (if anyone does).

really good book, fast paced action with not a lot of down time. the plots of each player vary greatly, but still have lots of interesting intersections with each other. although it feels like one character, I won't say who, feel unkillable, I understand that the players are very talented and powerful but he feels like he's some type of god within the book. either way great book

Can I just say this book is to good to be true. Like the first book was Amazing and this is just GLORIOUS. I just cant express my love for the Endgame series enough. Tgis book will keep you on your toes and jumping around like a maniac every step of the way. A great sequel to the second book. I commend the authors.

Captivating

If anyone has ever lived or wondered what life is like in the projects, this book is one example of that life. Imaginative, creative, and expressionary...The vivid display of life for Chaka in this novel captures the reader to become drawn to the next page. Excellent novel for a first time author and looking forward to the prequel and subsequent works.

I think the book deeply resonates with those of us who were born in the 80s or 90s and discovered the pickup community in our teens. The book contains many lessons that many of us learned over the years (or maybe have not learned yet, and thus can learn from Davids mistakes instead of making our own).
Everyone who ever had any doubts while working on his personal development or improving his dating life will be forced to look at these doubts again and deeply reflect on their validity.

David shows a great talent of communicating valuable life lessons in hilariously stories in interesting locations all over the world.

A Very Unique View on the Pick-Up Community

In this book David shares how and why his teenage years revolved about one thing: becoming a guy who is good with girls.

Why was this his goal? He started out as a shy and introverted boy. When his peers started dating girls, he felt left out. Searching for help he came across the pick-up community and became part of it. The next years were filled with self-help books, videos and seminars on the quest to become a man and become good with girls.

Lucky for him, he matured along the way and despite his immersion in the community, he became were critical of it. Lucky for us, he guides us through his journey and provides a very different view on the pick-up community.

When I read the Rite of Passage, I saw myself in David. I had similar experiences and reading about his experiences helped me understand my own better. And most important of all, this is an entertaining book with stories of the hilarious adventures he had in countries like Germany, Sweden, Japan, the U.S. and Australia.

Being both a personal friend of David and a fellow survivor of the self-help craze that is called "Pick Up", I greatly enjoyed seeing how David descended into this community to come out scathed, but bettered. I could relate to his feelings of inner emptiness, of lack of purpose and self-esteem and his challenges along his way to accept himself.

His well-worded style of writing and openness about his personal feelings and thoughts made it an enjoyable read throughout and I would recommend it to anyone interested in personal development, traveling and the general wonders of life.

Seriously have never disliked a "heroine" in a story as much as I ...

Seriously have never disliked a "heroine" in a story as much as I disliked this one. Just completely selfish, self absorbed, woe is me...she was awful. The overall story could have held up if she wasn't such a terrible character. One of the few books that I've ever read where the main character didn't even redeem them self by the end of the story. Ugh :(

A wonderful debut novel!

Hard is the debut novel for author Sosie Frost, and wow, what an achievement! This is a well-written, smooth-flowing, steamy romance featuring a gorgeous, solid, tattooed, scarred, hunky as hell, ex- Navy SEAL who was injured in combat by an IED named Zach, and his equally stunning, sweet, kind-hearted, generous stepsister, Shay. I’ll try not to give too many spoilers.

The book begins in a bar, where Shay is drowning her sorrows; her father and his prospective bride were killed in a car crash, so their wedding has now turned into a funeral. I have to admit that, while it’s not really funny in real life, the funeral/wedding scenes were a bit funny: the recycled wedding cake, people leaving wedding gifts at the coffin during the wake, the flower girls running amok around the coffin...but I digress.
While drinking away her sorrow, Shay meets Zach, who, like I mentioned before, is a hunky, hot man. He makes passes at her, she rebuffs, but eventually one thing leads to another, and the first chapters of the book are hot, hot, hot!

The problem comes afterward, when Shay learns that Zach is her stepbrother. Oh, no, he didn’t! Yup, he did! He knew the whole time. Shame on you, Zach! So, things happen, Shay and Zach learn some interesting things at the reading of the will, and things heat up (not in a good way).
I won’t spoil the book for you, so you will have to read this for yourself to see what happens, but this book is well worth the read. I loved the way the story and their relationship developed; I loved Zach so much... he was so determined to win Shay’s heart, and you’ve gotta love a man who is so into a woman.

Dangerous things are going on with Zach, and you will need to read the book to see what I mean, but I’m glad for the ending of the book. The ending was so awesome, and I think Sosie did an amazing job!

I’d give this a solid 4.5-5 stars.

Hard to Forget. Loved the Intensity

This book starts out with such passion, fire and with a hidden agenda. Loved it. What more can you ask for between step siblings. Shay is fixing to burying her father and was going thru the mourning of a man she really wasn’t able to know and runs into a handsome man at a bar, named Zach” Hard” Harden. One thing leads to another and they had an intense night of passion to which she loved. She wished she had gotten the SEAL’s phone number but with everything going on, she just figured it was for the best. Later after the funeral, she goes to see her father’s lawyer and who should she see there? Zach…and she finds out he is her new step brother. Boy is she highly upset yet still attracted to him. When she finds out that her dad left the estate to both of them, she is so upset because it should be to her, not him. She is completely hurt and angry that Zach is left half when he didn’t know her father at long while she didn’t get to know him any.
Zach knew when he saw her who she was but she completely entranced him. He wanted her and he had gone thru some horrible times overseas. He had been badly injured and he was back home trying to recover when his mom and new stepdad had been killed. Zach is this sweet, alpha male who sees the woman of his dreams and he knew what would happen when he seduced her and she found out who he was to her but he took the risk. Well, Shay sure was mad but Zach still continued to pursue his woman. At times he was cocksure with her while Shay has a lifetime of hurt bottled up inside due to how she was raised. The two come together and the story takes a complex turn of events with passion and emotions that raise this from a general stepbrother story to a beautiful, complex story full of emotions that is great and I loved it. I loved the outcome and hope to read more from this author.

Better than nothing; usually better than Chilton

This book is really good if you want to know specifications and tuneup info. If you want to know how to disassemble the dash so you can replace your heater core, forget it because each year and model is different. They just don't get into that. The Haynes manuals are good for common things on all the models, like engine, brakes, shocks, oil filter location, etc. I am surprised that every now and then they actually have better diagram details than the factory Honda manual. Also rather strange is that they spend time on how to repair dents with body filler; this is NOT a body shop book!

The problem with these books is that they cover many years and models and sometimes the authors just plain blow it. So they give you just enough rope to hang yourself with! In the case of the CVCC engine, they completely ignore the procedure for removing the auxiliary valves from the head, which is involved and requires special tools. They said to use a valve spring compressor, which is what you would use to disassemble it AFTER you have removed it from the head! I have the factory service manual as well, so it is easy to compare. The problems with the Haynes book led me to invest in the factory Honda service manual!

Student Bible for adult reader with large print

This NIV Student Bible is very easy to read and enjoyable. I recommend it for anyone who has not read or has not enjoyed reading other versions of the bible.

NIV Student Bible, Large Print

This bible was exactly what I was looking for! The print isn't overly large, which I liked immensely. I use it in my adult Sunday school classes and in our church group bible study meetings. I really like the ease to which it can be read, understood and the additional notations. I consider it a very good investment for anyone who is desiring to learn more.
